B-Circadin
B-Circadin is extracted from Lespedeza capitata
(a species of flowering plant from the legume family) and has traditionally been
used in South Korea for its medicinal properties. B-Circadin contains key
actives carlinoside and isocschaftoside – two glycosylated flavonoids that work
to resycnchronise the skins circadian rhythm (the skin and body’s internal
clock that tells the body what it has to do at certain times) when it becomes
deregulated by exposure to blue light. Exposure to blue light has been shown to
disrupt the circadian rhythm, hindering the skins anti-oxidant defence and
detoxification process.B-Circadin is a powerful active for anyone with tired,
dull skin as it works to visibly revitalise and ‘awaken’ the appearance of the
skin. Puffiness and dark circles are reduced and skin is left smooth and
radiant.How it works?
Inspired by Nobel Prize winning research, it resynchronizes the skin's wellbeing clock: the circadian rhythm. It improves skin tone and reduces signs of
skin fatigue caused by stressful lifestyles that impair the circadian cycle. It has demonstrated its efficacy to resynchronize the rhythm of Bmal-1, Per and Cry circadian genes on a unique model of synchronized skin exposed to blue light as a stress factor to deregulate its circadian rhythm. As It also regulates key biological functions such as aquaporin 3 and Nrf2 pathway, known to follow a circadian rhythm. It shows a protective action against blue light
induced oxidative stress on skin cells.Found in:

Swertia Chirata
Swertia Chirata, also known as the proprietary ingredient SWT-7, uses the latest in stem cell technology to not only support the regeneration of skin cells, but also to firm and strengthen the epidermis for younger looking skin. As we age, the production of keratinocytes (skin cells that produce keratin and form a protective barrier) slows, resulting in thinner, more fragile skin that is less resistant to free radicals and susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles. SWT-7 – inspired by the latest technology in skin tissue research - supports skin tone and texture by enhancing the skin’s ability to reduce the loss of keratinocytes while boosting production of additional keratinocytes, resulting in a firmer and more elastic epidermis. Regenerated skin cells result in surface skin that is less fragile and delicate, less likely to wrinkle and better able to manage free radicals, which damage skin cells and trigger wrinkles, dark spots and other signs of ageing.
